Well, I'm pretty sure Gearbox didn't spend $20 million on a game and IP if they aren't going to to do anything with it. Like I said, the most likely reason for the delay comes from 2K wanting to push it further into summer to maximize profits. There's practically NOTHING coming out in June so Duke will have the month pretty much to itsself. I'll be playing Duke in no time. I've waited 14 got damn years, another month or two won't kill me.

We both agree that a month is NO time to add anything AT ALL to the game. It's also highly unlikely any game breaking bugs exist, so this is most likely a marketing move like you said.

In my eyes, it's a horrifically bad move, regardless of what kind of standing it puts them with the competition (not that there is any). Think about the word of mouth that's gonna spread after yet ANOTHER delay.

They fucked up. They SCARED.

All I want is a classic styled RE with new styled controls a la Lost in Nightmares with Chris Jill Claire and Leon all in the same game.

I'll reserve judgement til I see gameplay. Did you see that you can change the series canon by killing off major characters?

They're trying to make RE a pure shooter. That's NOT the direction it needs to go. Seriously, as awesome as 4 and 5 were, we got enough of it with those. I want to return to Raccoon City, run for my life, mystery, etc. They've destroyed the "survivor horror" that made RE so great.

Although, I will say this. Slant Six is developing the game for Capcom, so Capcom really isn't making it. I'd hope that Capcom themselves are focusing on a more substantial RE game, and not this BANG BANG BANG ZOMBIE BANG BANG BANG shit. I really don't mind some unique RE games here and there, but I just hope this isn't what Capcom has in mind for what they really want RE 6 to be. Hopefully they have bigger, better plans for RE than this baby town frolic bullshit.
 
I'm pretty sure this is a side project. I too hope Capcom are working On a pure RE6 like lost In Nightmares. The RE4 perspective combined with the RE1 playstyle was PERFECT


And hey Logan/ Dave someone needs to co-op desperate escape with me! I haven't played it yet.
 
Im sure ill still buy it though. And 1000th post.

But the closest thing we have to a good direction for RE is the 3DS game Resident Evil Revelations. It uses the RE4/5 perspective but focuses more on puzzle solving and survival than straight up combat. BUT WE NEED A GAME LIKE THAT FOR 360 DAMNIT
