The PS3 version of Bayonetta is a port of the 360 version, which was outsourced to another developer. The PS3 is notorious for being a pain in the ass to port games to, and as a result the PS3 version suffered many technical issues. In contrast, porting games from PS3 to 360 is much simpler. By having the PS3 version as the primary build, they're hoping to keep the quality of the game consistent on both platforms.

but the story looks terrible. i hated the ending of mgs4 so if they continue it im probably going to pass.

Looks amazing, still inferior to what Bayonetta 2 could've been.
