So just checking in here to say that AC4 is indeed awesome. Being a pirate is awesome. Stabbing dudes in the face and neck is awesome. I just hope AC Unity has less missions where you have to tail people and eavesdrop them.

I'd love if Ubisoft made a non AC pirate game using a lot of AC4 gameplay.

One thing about AC4, and I guess the AC games in general, is that it's super hard to go back to after playing stuff like Infamous Second Son. In that game your character can just fucking haul ASS, get a power which gives you infinite super-fast running, including running straight up buildings, etc. Edward Kenway is agile, no doubt, but compared to that he's a goddamn sloth.
