- Nintendo’s new membership service will be called “Nintendo Account” — it will connect hardware users, as well as PC and smart device users, Mr. Kimishima says. Edit: There may have been some translation issues. It seems that Nintendo Account" is the new name for accounts, and the membership service will be called "My Nintendo". Will clarify once we find out for sure.
- Nintendo will use a cloud-based data service to transfer game data between mobile games and console games.
- "Specifically with the new account, you can log in with your Facebook, Google, and Twitter accounts. You can also use normal email. Of course, you can transfer your existing Nintendo ID over to it." Image
- New point program for purchasing/playing console/mobile games can be used on DLC, original goods, and game coupons. You'll be able to purchase software downloads on the site, see purchases, play info, and game-related messages.
- Nintendo Account friend list, requiring mutual confirmation, will be utilized on both console and mobile.
- You'll be able to use your MyNintendo Account in conjunction with the theme park, as well as theaters and stores.
- It is the new member service to replace Club Nintendo.
- Releases in March alongside Nintendo's first smartphone game, Miitomo.
